The entire group gathers together for the first time in Sao Paulo today. Three of the group members fly in from the States, and seven others fly in from Iguassu Falls, where they have been enjoying an optional pre-tour extension. Our first gathering is at 6pm in the hotel bar for a welcome drink and introductions all around.
After general hilarity and gossip, we get to meet Sergio, our guide for this portion of the tour. He is a “Family Member” – and proud of photos he took on his honeymoon to Washington DC with his husband just a few months ago. We board a bus to transfer to Cantaloup – a famous restaurant in town that is the site of our Welcome Dinner.
The menu offers a variety of delectable dishes, and our evening also offers a taste of the camaraderie and conviviality yet to come with this group of wonderful guys!
